Greetings,
please advise what steps should be taken if I recieved the NL letter from KCC that I am selected for 2011 DV lottery.
I am in AOS in EB3 category, my H1B already expired, working on EAD.
My case number from DV lottery is very high (29***).
What should I choose - CP or AOS???
Should I fill and return back to KCC both forms - DSP-122 and DS-230 forms??? :confused:

My Lawyer also suggested that we apply Porting PD after the second I 140 gets approved instead of doing it at the time of applying for second I 140.

Hi -
I got my I-140 approved back in 2008 and last year my H1b was extended for another 3 years.
I am planning to change job now and once the new company transfers my H1b will it be extended for another 3 years or for the remaining duration of my current H1B.
Also what happens if my current employer revoke the I-140 after i change job?
Until when can i start the GC process with new company so that i don't go out of status and keep getting extensions until i get my GC?

They can incorporate a company but they cannot do any work for it( not even write a check) or take any salary from it. But if the person has an EAD, there are very few restrictions.

you do not have to apply for COS, if she wants she can get h4 stamped when she travels, but is moot anyways as she plans to use EAD anyways nullyfying her H4.

Hello,
I applied AOS in July 07 and was waiting for my and spouse FP till now. Last week I received FP notice for my spouse but her middle name on FP notice is spelled wrong. But her I-485 receipts and EAD are spelled correctly. What do I do ? Do I need to contact them and have it corrected before she appears for the FP appointment. Her FP appointment is next week so there is not much time left. I was thinking , that when she appears for FP appointment to let them know about the spelling mistake.
Members, please share any similar experiences.

Can this agency be any more incompetent? This will likely lead to lawsuits by those who were "mistakenly" notified that they were selected. Glad I didn't get a notice this year. I would be very upset.

Today , an officer from Homeland Security visited my office.
The guy showed his Identity Card and was looking for me and the my boss (who signed the Visa Papers). He took me privately in a conference room and asked me questions like my pay, my duties, who paid for H-1 renewal etc.
Then he went to our HR dept and asked a few questions regarding my employment history. He asked me if you are treated well in this company. ( Note: Mine is not a consultant company) Anyways the guy was very polite and he told me its just a formality from homeland security
also he took picture of my desk
On searching more on this I came across this site

This is my current status
I am on H1 B visa and currently working in the US. My visa expires in July, 2011.
I was sent to the US on a long term onsite assignment from the company I was working in bangalore, India. I am asked to come back to India in June 2010.
What are the implications of me quitting thecurrent job once I go back to India? Is my H1 B visa still valid?
In case if I go back to India and move to a different company, do I have to go through everything starting from filing the H1 petition to get the H1 visa?
