Hi I'm a US citizen and have around 15k or less credit card debt. All government loans were paid off. Something happened three and a half years ago in my home town and I had to leave Washington state and took care of it. So my question is: it's has been 3 and a half year and I'm heading back to washington state for short visit.
1. I'm sure the debt did gall into collection agency. Will it go to court?
2. Since I had been gone since 2007 and will there be a warrant on me since I didn't appear to court (if there was one)
3. I will be entering Vancouver bc airport then to Seattle by driving. I'm afraid I will get caught for warrant at the border.
Hopefully someone can answer my questions and thanks for the help in advance.

I have applied for GC in Aug '07. I recently renewed my H1-B (7th year). I noticed that there is a mistake in the A# of my Green card application (Beneficiary #) on the H1-B approval notice.
Has any one else had this happen? Does any one know what can be done regarding this?

you will have to get it corrected, ask you lawyer to file the correction form ( i don't remember the form# top of my head).

Hi,
I have applied for my H1B transfer from my current employer to a new company. I have not had any issues with my current employer with pay or anything like that. I have maintained my H1B status with my salary coming on time as promised and have all the paystubs and correct documents. My new employer is a big american MNC and they have hired a well known law firm for transfer process.
My only question is I have not informed my current employer yet and will inform him in a weeks time once my LCA is done and transfer is filled. He will not be very happy about this and I have initially signed an offer letter which says I will work with him for atleast a year and its only been 6 months so far. Can he create any problems in my transfer by cancelling my current H1 or any other problems with my reliving? Pls help.

When you travel on AP carry both the copies. On the PoE the IO will keep one and give the second to you after it is stamped. You use the returned/stamped Copy for your future travel
When one applies for AP in Multiple entry category they will be given 2 AP dox. lets say if one has used both on travelling like both has stamp of POE can they reuse the same for future travel with in the one year period of validity ?

Thanks. The A#, DOB and photo are correct on the card. Can I use the EAD card and at the same time file for a correction.

Congratulations to Swedish-born Paul N.J. Ottosson who won two Academy Awards this evening for Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing for The Hurt Locker. Hi there.....Even I want to find out if I-131 (AP) can be RENEWED without paying the fee when I-485 has been filed with the new fee structure. The USCIS site has not mentioned anything regarding the renewal fee for I-131 in this case (whereas it is clearly mentioned for the EAD). Is there anyone who can share his/her experience of AP renewal without paying the fee?

I am planning to apply for Alberta Nomination Program under NOC (Manufacturing and Industrial Engineers). Does anybody has any experience with this NOC. Also, I need to know how does this process work. I apply for ANP and when I need to move I apply for jobs and then I get work permit...right ? Then if I need to get a TN visa to come back to usa how do I do that. I have a house in chicago, so wondering if renting that out could be an option for me when I immigrate to alberta so that when I need I can come to chicago. I am in my 5th year of H1B and with the current scenario my present company is not going to start my GC (it stopped because of layoffs in the company).

i am currently on H-1B with employer A. i hv a job offer from employer B which is a mgr role based outside USA.
i know that if i work for 1+ yr with employer B outside USA then i can come back to USA on L1-A visa.
my question is - during this 1 yr period, can i work for employer B in USA on H-1B?

Hello All,
My I-140 was approved on 10/08/2008. But I am not sure if it is EB2 or EB3.
My labor was filed with MS + 2years but My I-140 Notice Type says:
Skilled Worker or Professinal, Sec 203(b) (3) (A) (i) or (ii).
I will appreciate any feedback.

Hi All,
if the dependent is planning to come back on AP and then start working on EAD, does it mean the primary applicant has to work on EAD or the primary applicant can still continue on H1.
